How Stuart serves the Council
Paving the way through Leadership: It is my intention in serving as your Scout Executive, to transform our organization to become an even higher performing contributor to the community. Those who know and love Scouting understand that it is a community of volunteers that serve as a resource to help local youth experience their best possible childhood. Those who are not familiar with the ideals of Scouting need to be better informed regarding the mission and methods used to achieve our goals. It is my job through board and volunteer development to help send that message as the face of Scouting throughout our community.
The Council will take pride as the number one youth advocate and resource for developing the youth of our community. We will be the reigning authority on youth leadership and values and will be available beyond our own membership as a resource to parents, schools, churches, and other community or civic organizations. As we move forward into new territory and new challenges, the Council and its Camps will continue to be points of pride with our Units, Volunteers, and stakeholders. When people want their child engaged in a safe and relevant environment that provides the best possible adventure and outdoor education - they will think of The Boy Scouts of America.
